We would like to thank the UK Council for the Registration of Forensic Practitioners (CRFP) on whose Code of Conduct the following guidelines are based. To develop this code, the CRFP consulted widely and conducted research on the subject among numerous forensic scientists.]
Bearing in mind that the forensic's main duty is to the courts and the administration of justice, his obligation is to present the evidence, in writing or orally, in an equitable and impartial manner.

Take all reasonable measures to maintain and promote your professional competence, taking into account research and innovations within your field of competence and applying quality assurance techniques.
Declare to whoever uses it any previous participation or personal interest that gives or could give rise to a conflict of interest, real or imaginary; and act in that case only with your explicit written consent.
Take all reasonable measures to obtain all the material evidence available and pertinent, and determine, as far as possible, if any has been subject to alteration before entering your possession; also ensure that their integrity and security are maintained while they are in your possession.
Accept responsibility for all work carried out under your supervision, direct or indirect.
Carry out all work in accordance with the established principles of your profession, using proven methods and appropriate equipment and materials.
Clearly and precisely record the examinations you carry out, their methods and their results, with sufficient detail so that another competent forensic in the same field of work can independently verify your work.

Said secrecy protects communications, verbal and written, between professional legal advisers and their clients, as well as between advisers and expert witnesses who intervene in relation to the legal advisory function or taking into account the legal procedures and purposes thereof. .
